Community of Grace Organization

Empowering women in recovery to rebuild their lives and families.

COGO supports women, mothers, and youth ages 12–24 impacted by substance use, incarceration, trauma, domestic violence, and gun violence.

We provide peer support, healing circles, sound healing, youth programs, and family wellness activities—while working toward our long-term vision of opening a transitional living home for mothers and children.

MISSION

Empowering women with substance use disorder to overcome challenges through a strong support network, fostering stability, discipline, healing, and family empowerment.

Who We Are

The Community of Grace Organization (COGO) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Frederick, Maryland, dedicated to supporting women in recovery, mothers, and youth ages 12–24 on their path to healing from substance use, trauma, violence, and incarceration.

We offer transformative programs and peer support—including sound healing, women’s circles, youth empowerment, grief healing, and family reconnection—rooted in the Eight Dimensions of Wellness.

OUR VISION

Transitional living is more than housing—it is a journey of connection, growth, and healing for mothers and their children.

COGO’s future transitional home will offer a safe, stable, supportive environment where families can rebuild their lives through structure, recovery support, parenting guidance, and wellness.

GOALS

Our goal is to support women and young people (ages 12–24) leaving rehabilitation centers, treatment programs, or correctional facilities, and those impacted by domestic violence, trauma, and family instability.

We help families reestablish relationships, rebuild trust, increase self-esteem, and move toward long-term stability through programs grounded in the Eight Dimensions of Wellness.
